What is the herb Calendula used for?

Calendula is a herbaceous perennial flower that grows once every year. The bloom time for calendula occurs in May through early Fall. This flower is known for its bright yellow and orange colors. There are several different types of calendula, there is: Dwarf Gem, Fruit Twist, Sherbet Fizz, Citrus Cocktail, Bronzed Beauty, Radio Extra, Pink Surprise, Touch of Red, Neon, Greenheart Orange, and Tangerine Cream.
